HUMY – Hillsboro United Methodist Youth

Our youth group is for students in 6th grade and older and usually meets twice a month, on the second and fourth Sunday evenings, at 6:30 PM in the Youth Room. However, that schedule is sometimes changed due to opportunities that arise and is completely different in the summer. Watch this page for updates! We also send out postcards as reminders of events so be sure the church office has your current street address and e-mail address if you want to stay informed about upcoming events. We use an online invitation program to send out updates and to give you an opportunity to RSVP, get details, and ask questions. Bringing a friend is always an option but be aware that we will need a Medical Release Authorization, signed by the parent or guardian, for all students.

Sierra Service Project

This is a really terrific project for our youth. The Sierra Service Project is SSP has been providing life-changing service experiences for young people since 1975 iwhich young people learn first-hand the joys of Christian service to others. Most of the projects take place on Indian reservations, where youth spend their days repairing homes and their evenings in worship, discussion and recreation. Many HUMC youth and adults have participated in this service opportunity.

If you, or your child, would like to go next summer talk to Gwen or Christine. For more information: www.sierraserviceproject.org.
